Purpose and scope of application
The rotating blowout preventer is installed on top of the annular blowout preventer, the gate valve blowout preventer or the gate plate blowout preventer. During the implementation of underbalanced drilling techniques and other pressure-bearing drilling operations, it is used to seal the rotating drilling tools and play a role in diverting the flow. When it is combined with hydraulic blowout preventers, drill string check valves, liquid-vapor separators, and non-pressure well running and pulling pressure-boosting devices, it can safely carry out pressure-bearing drilling and non-pressure well running and pulling operations. It plays an important role in special operations such as liberating low-pressure oil and gas layers, leak-proof drilling, gas-filled drilling, and non-pressure well repair.
2. Main Working Principle
The drill pipe is rotated by the drive core assembly on the rotating control device, causing the central tube of the rotating sleeve and the rubber sealing core to rotate together with the rotating column. The rubber core relies on its own elastic deformation and well pressure to seal around the drill string. The dynamic seal between the central tube and the rotating assembly is achieved through the upper and lower dynamic seal assemblies.
The hydraulic power room is used to control the opening and closing of the hydraulic clamps, and at the same time provides lubricating oil to lubricate and cool the internal components of the rotating assembly and the moving seal assembly. Circulating water is used to cool the upper moving seal assembly.
3. Structural Composition
The rotary blowout preventer is mainly composed of the rotary assembly, the housing, the hydraulic power station, the control pipelines, the hydraulic gate valve, and the auxiliary tools.
